One of the great prides of the New Yorkers is their famous football team, named The New York Giants. This team was created in 1925, it is a franchise of the National Football League (NFL). The Giants won eight national championships, notably four Super Bowl in 1986, 1990, 2008 and 2011. 

The matches of the New York Giants are always very popular, and it may be difficult to buy tickets. But if you have the possibility to watch a football match with this famous team, you will never forget it, because it is a unique experience! If you travel to New York and if you like sport, do not hesitate to plan it. The Giants team plays its matches at the MetLife Stadium, situated in East Rutherford (New Jersey) where the team comes from. It is thirty minutes from Midtown Manhattan. The football season takes place each year from September to January.

A football match is generally three and half hours long. There are fifty players in each team, but only eleven play during a match. Four categories of players belong to the football team: the QuaterBacks, the Running-Backs, the Wide-Receivers and the “blockers” (center, tackles and guards). It is a very physical and strategical sport, which may also be violent, that is why each player wears a special equipment, with a protective helmet and many other protections in order to avoid the shocks. Several arbiters watch the players and indicate the faults.

Among the most famous players of the Giants, there are: Odell Beckham Jr., Eli Manning, Alec Ogletree, Brandon Marshall, Davis Webb, Jason Pierre-Paul, Eli Apple, Geno Smith, Landon Collins… At the present time, the coaches are Tom Coughlin and Pat Shurmur. The owners of the team are John Mara and Steve Tisch.

Hello, I'm going to talk to you about that terrible day of  September 11, 2001 and then about the memorial which was built in memory of the many victims. 

During the day of September 11, two planes were crashed into the symbolic Twins Towers of the World Trade Center in New York City making nearly 2500 victims. 

A third plane was crashed into the Pentagon, the headquarters of the United States Department of Defense in Washington DC making 200 victims. And a fourth plane was initially steered toward Washington DC, but was crashed into a field in Stonycreek Township near Shanksville in Pennsylvania making 40 victims. 

It was the deadliest attacks in history with nearly 3000 dead  and more than 6000 wounded. 

The National September 11 Memorial  was built to mourn and pay tribute to the thousands of people killed in the terrorist  attacks of February 26, 1993 and September 11,  2001. In August 2006, the World Trade Center Memorial Foundation  and the port authority of New York and New Jersey began the  construction of a memorial and a museum. 

The memorial was completed and open to the public on September 11, 2011, the 10th anniversary of the tragedy. The memorial consists of a park with two square pools located in the location of the destroyed towers. 

Today, it is a very nice Memorial place to pray. For not forgotten all the victims and think about their families.
